A Legal Disclaimer

This Privacy Policy explains how FurLove at furlove.shop (“Site”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Czech laws.

1. Who we are (Controller)

2. What data we collect
   • Identity & contact: name, email, phone, delivery/billing addresses.
   • Order & account: items purchased, order notes, returns, account details (e.g., hashed credentials), preferences.
   • Payment: payment method, status, fraud-prevention signals. We do not store full card numbers.
   • Delivery: chosen carrier/pick-up point, tracking details.
   • Communications & support: messages, reviews, surveys.
   • Technical & usage: device, browser, IP address, language, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, interactions.
   • Marketing: newsletter opt-in status and interactions (if you consent).

3. Purposes & legal bases
   We process personal data only where a legal basis applies:
   • Provide the Site, process orders, ship items, and handle returns (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) – contract).
   • Payments, fraud prevention, accounting, and tax compliance (contract; legitimate interests Art. 6(1)(f); legal obligations Art. 6(1)(c)).
   • Customer support and service improvement (legitimate interests).
   • Analytics and site performance (your consent via cookies where required).
   • Direct marketing (your consent, or legitimate interests for existing customers where permitted; you can opt out anytime).
   • Compliance and record-keeping (legal obligations).

4. Sharing your data
   We share data only as needed:
   • Service providers (processors): website/hosting, payment processors, email/SMS tools, analytics and advertising partners (e.g., analytics pixels), IT/security, customer-support tools.
   • Delivery partners: postal and courier services for shipping and returns.
   • Independent controllers: some partners (e.g., payment providers) act as separate controllers—see their policies.
   • Legal & business needs: authorities when required by law, and in a business reorganization (e.g., sale/merger).

5. International transfers
   Some providers may be located outside the EEA. Where required, we use safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and additional measures to protect your data.

6. Cookies & tracking
   We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your choices, analyze traffic, and personalize marketing. Categories include: Strictly necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Marketing. You can manage preferences via our cookie banner/“Cookie Settings” and in your browser. Refusing certain cookies may limit functionality.

7. Retention
   We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes set out above:
   • Orders, invoices, and tax/accounting records: up to 10 years (or as required by law).
   • Customer service records: typically 3 years after resolution.
   • Marketing data: until you withdraw consent or opt out.
   • Cookies: according to their lifespans shown in the banner.
   Minimal data may be retained to demonstrate compliance or handle claims.

8. Your GDPR rights
   You can request access, rectification, erasure, or portability of your data, and you can request restriction of processing or object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights, email support@furlove.shop. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).

9. Security
   We use appropriate technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege, backups). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. Children
    The Site is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact support@furlove.shop so we can delete it.

11. Marketing communications
    With your consent (or where permitted by law), we may send you news and offers. You can unsubscribe using the link in any message or by contacting support@furlove.shop.

12. Changes to this Policy
    We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
